Eco Divers is a team and family of Sri Lankan–Italian experienced scuba diving instructors located in Negombo, the fishing town known as “Little Rome,” just a few kilometers from Bandaranaike International Airport.
We offer a variety of courses and diving experiences, from the introductory Discover Scuba Diving program to the advanced Divemaster level, as well as fun dives for certified divers. We ensure an unforgettable experience while always prioritising safety and international standards.
Discover our vibrant local reefs populated with soft and hard corals, tropical fish, turtles, and shipwrecks — all within a maximum navigation time of 30 minutes.
We run our courses in small groups to provide a memorable experience and the safest, most effective learning environment.
We can organise personalised packages and island-wide tours depending on the season:
November to April – Southwest diving season
March to October – Northeast diving season
We also offer boat trips on Negombo’s beautiful lagoon, kayaking, snorkelling, and much more.

Best Diving Experience in Sri Lanka
My girlfriend and I were travelling in Sri Lanka for three weeks and decided to try an adventure dive, even though we had never dived before. We contacted a couple of dive centres, but ECO DIVERS responded to us very kindly and professionally. Lisa was very scared at the beginning, but after the practice session she felt safe and confident. She was in very good hands with our instructor, Feroz, who made the dive calm and enjoyable. Because of this positive experience, she decided to continue and do the PADI course. Safety was always the first priority. Everything was explained very clearly from A to Z, including all the exercises and procedures. The organisation and professionalism were excellent. Very Friendly Dive Instructors
My friend and I did the Open Water Diving course a few days ago. The sea was extremely calm and clear. Our dives were pleasurable as the visibility was good. Lorna and her team were great as they helped ensure everything went smoothly for us. Lorna was like our underwater mother! She was extremely patient and helped us understand all the concepts required very thoroughly. She is a person who believes in practicality so she made us practice all the procedures in the swimming pool and made sure we got them right before making us repeat the same in the sea. She was extremely professional, funny and easy to talk to at the same time. Her patience made me comfortable enough to ask her the most stupidest of doubts. I had problems in the water with my ears but she made me so calm and helped me overcome the same and ensured that our dive went smoothly. She was extremely motivating and her passion for the subject was very evident. Lorna truly was a blessing and I am so glad I got my diving certification through her and her team!
Amazing Discover Scuba Dive
I have done adventure dives twice before in other countries, but in Sri Lanka, ECO DIVERS gave me the best experience. The dive centre created a very positive and calm environment. My instructor, Feroz, took great care of me underwater, stayed close at all times, and made me feel very safe. He helped me throughout the dive and made sure I was comfortable. The best part of my whole trip to Sri Lanka was doing the Discover Scuba Dive with ECO DIVERS. On my next holiday, I will definitely come back to complete my PADI certification.
